OMG!!! Last week, I had a Star Trek marathon, and tweeted the same exact comment about not having seat belts in Federation Starships! Donatello and I are of one mind.
(But I mean, really… “Brace for impact” when the entire saucer section is crash-landing on a planet?? Even in Demolition Man, which is mediocre sci-fi, they thought to put expanding safety foam in cars to keep people safe in a crash! Oh yeah, and for the last 40+ years… AIRBAGS!!)
Not everybody gets to hang out with Optimus Prime and Megatron, you know?

The TMNT crew had a group show in the art gallery at Nickelodeon with a “girl” theme. I thought one of the girls looked familiar! Turns out it was a fan art piece by Adam Lucas, former storyboard revision artist on Korra, and current storyboard artist on TMNT. Based on the stairwell setting and her Naota-like boots, I like to think of this as a mash-up between FLCL and Korra, something I fully support. I’d like to see more of that mash-up!
Adam is the creator of the comic Goldilock. He moved out from Virginia to work on Korra, his first gig in animation.
This is also kind of encouraging for TMNT too.

Guys, Michael Bay issued an explanation for why his new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is going to be titled Ninja Turtles (Remember, they’re not mutants anymore. Just logical, logical aliens.). It’s cute because it asks the internet to calm down, which, hahahaha, never going to happen dude. Maybe you should calm down with the remakes.
